If you are reading this and turning 65....Congratulations, you are likely eligible for Medicare. Most people are thrilled to be on Medicare but navigating Medicare possibilities can be confusing. We can go over all options available for you including Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage Plans, Part D Coverage and help you apply.
Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap)
Original Medicare pays for many, but not all healthcare services and supplies. Medicare Supplement Insurance policies, sold by private companies can help pay some of the health care costs that Original Medicare does not cover like copays, coinsurance, and deductibles. We offer many different plans to fit your needs.
Medicare Advantage Plans
These are private plans and another way to get your Medicare coverage. They are also called “Part C” or “MA Plans”. You will still have Medicare, but you will get your part A (hospital) and part B (Medical) from the Advantage Plan, not Original Medicare. Generally, there is a network of providers. These can be cost effective as some plans include drugs and are even zero premium.
Changing plans: You can switch Medicare Advantage plans each year at open enrollment. However - and this is very important - if you want to switch from a Medicare Advantage plan back to a Supplement, you must go through underwriting.
